BDF-1000 is the latest addition to Cryovac's family of barrier shrink films. This multilayer, coextruded material was developed specifically for products requiring moisture protection, and represents a quantum advancement in combining shrink-film technology with moisture-barrier capabilities.
BDF-1000 Film provides two-way barrier protection; it keeps moist products moist and dry products dry. This film is ideal for packaging such products as dried fruit, fresh produce, candy, cookies, snack foods, fresh baked goods and assorted confectionery products. BDF-1000 is also applicable to other diverse packaging uses such as taco shells, dried pasta, popcorn, specialty teas, vitamins, soap, cake mixes, cereals, spices and various chemical products.
This unique, moisture-barrier shrink film has excellent optical properties which make it ideal for retail packaging where clarity and gloss are critical merchandising requirements. BDF-1000 is a very stiff, highly machinable material. It is capable of delivering exceptionally strong trim-seals and can perform on most standard shrink equipment.
